Engineer due will he install phone line

I've got an engineer booked for 23rd of Dec. We've renovated Chapel and want to be there for Christmas but just realised no existing phone line as was ripped out during work being done. Will he connect us to pole outside ? I'm have phone ,Internet and sky ordered ? I'm panicking because of kids at Christmas... can't find answers anywhere ??? Stressed mom in housemove help 🙃

Unless you've told Sky that a new line is required to your new home, they probably won't be aware and arrangements for it to be connected won't have been made. Phone lines are usually activated remotely, without an engineer coming to your home. So I'd give Sky a call urgently to let them know the situation.

I'd strongly suggest anticipating that this will not be succesful (chances are weather and workforce availability are against you.), and have fallback arrangements ready: perhaps a cellular data router (but check local cellphone coverage, and beware of the affect of substantial walls) and an optical disk player.
