Re: Crackling phone line

It doesn't seem logical to close my problem down before an answer is found. The crackling on the. line still occurs - it wa severe from the outset this morning. What further checks  can be made?

@Graham+Horsefair

Would you like your issue re-escalated to Sky. It doesn't appear you engaged in the chat. It automatically closes if you don't respond in 48 hours whether the problem is resolved or not.

Yes, I need a resolution of this problem which makes landline calls very difficult.

Re: Crackling phone line

I still experience loud crackling on my phone line. There's nothing I can do, but you are the service provider so the ball is in your  court.. I hear nothing about any action, just shutting down my complaint. Rather than you waiting for me to tell you regularly that I still have the problem, I am waiting for you to do something. I thought you were proposing further tests but have heard nothing more (except that you are closing the case again)

@Graham+Horsefair

The messaging team tried to contact you via the chat on this forum which is what the above posts are about but you failed to respond to it within the 2 day timescale, if we alert the messaging team again for you will you be able to respond to them ?

@Graham+Horsefair to be clear, it's not your 'case' that's being closed, it's the online chat thatis automatically ended when you don't respond within 48 hours.

To report the ongoing problem you'll need to speak to a Sky adviser, either by completing the online chat process or by giving them a ring. It can't be progressed via your posts on the forum.

Re: Crackling phone line

You are quite right -  I am not familiar with Sky's advice methods. I did not set out to consult the Community, but was led there when trying to find someone at Sky who could deal with my problem. Several otters including Sky employees have been helpful but presumably are not advising officially.
