Changing to a digital Volp phone

I'm looking to change my analogue phone to a digital phone.

Do I need to purchase a specific make to work with my Sky account or do any makes work on all service providers networks?

Do I also potentially need to upgrade my router? Reading literature on digital my router should have a green connection point  'if' I want to connect my old analogue phone through it. My router does not have that connection availability.

thanks

Sky only switch new customers, or existing customers changing their broadband technology to their Internet calling service. Currently there's no option for existing customers to request the switch to Internet calling.

You can't use an IP  phone with Sky's landline service. To use Sky's Internet calling service ('Sky VOIP') you would simply.connect any standard handset to the telephone port at the back of Sky's broadband Hub. An IP phone won't work.

You can, of course, use an IP phone with a third party's VOIP service.
