Changed my landline number
- Hello just moved house so arranged a new contract on the 11th and requested to keep the same number. Asked when to cancel current account I said the 15 .3.45.am the call alarm started going off . Still moving next day .was reconnected on the 24th with a new number much to my annoyance after specifically requesting the old number . Called sky they said an email was sent on the 11th along with 7 or 8 others regarding contract .
- Reason I wanted the same number isthe wife is disabled so contacting support staff is important and vice versa. The other is I have a lot of elderly relatives who have my phone number who I see occasionally but not call but recently my wife received a call about a bereavement of an old family friend . Would not happen now thanks to incompetence . Anyway how do I get my number back any numbers to ring . Have had a rant at sky but no joy .

Re: Changed my landline number
It's not always possible to port your telephone number. Where that's the case Sky email you to let you know the new number.
Unfortunately as your old service ended on the 15th, the number will have been released to the pool and to my knowledge there's consequently no possibility of Sky retrieving it, I'm afraid.
