Cannot make or recieve calls,
No dial tone on home phone line, have checked with cordless and corded phones. If I try and ring the home phone from my mobile, it rings but does not ring in house.
Previous occupant had sky talk also, and reported to us that the line was very bad and not connecting either incoming or outgoing prior to them leaving. Can I request a private message chat to discuss this?

Have you recently moved to this property? Is your phone plugged into your broadband Hub?

Thank you for the prompt reply. The previous contract holder was a relative, we both lived in the house together but when they moved out they ended their sky tv/broadband/talk and I then signed up for my own. I have been issued a new phone number. Yes, the phone is plugged into the UK port at the back of the hub

Thanks for the explanation. If you have a black broadband Hub, is the Voice light illuminated? Amber or green? When did your service go live?

It is a black broadband hub, the voice light is not illuminated, all other lights are and the services are working normally.
I had a number of issues getting broadband set up (wanted full fibre but technical issues in area prevented this) but a broadband service went live on (I believe) 2nd june

Try restarting your Hub by switching it off for 10 minutes. If that doesn't prompt the landline service to start, it's best reported to Sky.
We can ask Sky's messaging team to contact you here so that you can report it via a private online chat, if you wish.

OK, I've alerted Sky and a Community adviser may be able to help you via private, online messaging later today. Look out for a blue/red chat 'bubble' towards the bottom of the page. Replies from Sky may not be instant, so check back from time to time for updates. Once the chat is activated it remains open for 48 hours, after which it will automatically close..
