Can't receive incoming calls since Broadband and Talk contract renewal 1 week ago.

I renewed my Sky Broadband & Talk contract about 1 week ago and since then I cannot receive any incoming calls on my landline. When I try to ring my landline (from my mobile) you can hear the phone ringing (in the mobile) but it doesnt ring on the landline. Not really sure what's going on. Could my sky Talk now be on Internet calls? If so, how do I resolve this? Do I plug my home telephone line into the Sky router? If so, do I unplug it fromt my BT phone faceplate on the wall? Or do I keep it in the wall and also connect it to my Sky router?

@markbusby1980  Is there a voice light on the front of your hub?

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

I have the same problem. Full fibre installed today. All good but phone doesn't ring out on incoming call. I  can dial out fine and it sounds like it's ringing when I dial from mobile but landlines phone stays silent.

@Chubster it can take 24 hours or so for activation of the landline to complete.

Landline only rings with some mobile networks

fibre 500 fitted yesterday.

Landline plugged in to correct port on router.

I can call out on landline.

If I ring the landline on mobiles using EE/voda/3 Networks, which we have in the house, the landline does not ring out although you can hear a ringtone on the mobile.

Brother in law just phoned and landline rang out. He is on Sky mobile.

I have turned ONT and router off for 30 minutes but it made no difference.

Any ideas what is going on?

Presumably not a ploy by Sky to get everyone on their mobile network 😁

@Chubster I've added your most recent post to the one you made yesterday, for continuity.

 

Most likely it's because activation hasn't fully completed, as I mentioned before. You could either give it a bit longer, or call Sky on 150 to report it.

Thanks but raised it seperately as seems to be a specific issue with mobile calling from certain networks as otherwise it functions fine. do you still think waiting is likely to remedy the issues with some networks?

@Chubster it's an issue that has been reported before. It may well be the result of as yet incomplete activation. If it were me, I'd give it another 24 hours before calling it in to Sky, but it's entirely up to you.
