Since upgrading to the new Sky Broadband Hub, my landline is not working to make or receive calls.
When I plug the phone into the ROI socket on the hub, the internet light starts flashing orange, and so does the voice light. The internet is then down for about 30 minutes and not a gig out of the phone
Is the problem that the handset is not compatible with internet calls? How can I tell this? Is there something else I need to do to activate sky talk? If anything it really shouldn't knock off my internet just by plugging the phone into the back of the hub?

Yes living in ROI, and as soon as I plug the phone into the back of the hub, both the internet and voice lights turn from solid green to blinking orange?

Unfortunately not, we only have the one Philips house phone to connect with wire into the back of the hub. Attaching image of this phone's model.
I presume there is no way to test with a mobile phone?

Yeah sky talk with new hub comes with internet calls. Current setup is into the wall with micro filter. When I make a call to the house phone, the green voice light flashes, but the phone doesn't actually ring.
My best guess is either my master socket needs an upgrade to a prefiltered socket by a sky engineer? Or else the house phone I have is just not compatible with modern internet calls ....
Either way, I should be able to plug the phone into the hub without it affecting the internet, but currently it makes it flash orange, and doesn't resolve until phone is plugged back into the wall

Your phone won't work when plugged into the wall socket, if you have internet calls.
