sky box not working, hard drive gone

sky box not working, is v old and now when i go to record or play display on screen comes up hard drive disc problem and screen has continous circle  spinning on screen

If the hard disk has failed, the box will need to be replaced. There are no new Sky+ boxes, but Sky might be able to supply a refurbished Sky+HD box. Or there are plenty of used Sky+HD boxes to buy cheaply on auction sites such as eBay. 

 

Alternatively now might be the time to see if you can get a good deal from Sky on an upgrade to Sky Q?
