lost signl

im in a dificult situation at the moment,ive been with sky now for at least 25 years now still using a sky hd box,they have now started work on the roofs on my housing estate with alot of scaffolding gone up,ive so far lost my sky tv signal for over 2 weeks,but this is expected to go on for a few months,i have a decision to make im not in contract anymore ,i can either cancel sky until the building work has been finished ,but that would also mean i would lose my sky go on my computer,which i need for at least the football,i coulc phone sky and try and get a discount while this work is going on ,but i did read up because its not there problem its unlikely that will happen,also if i cancel it till the work is done ,it would mean id have to re apply ,and would be in a fresh contact ,and of course i wouldnt be able to have a sky hd box ,because there more or less finished with them,the other alternative is going for sky streaming

@sweetheart4321

You have answered your own question as only you can make this decision.

As 31 days notice is requited to cancel it will not happen until this time next month.

If you keep Sky+ then you can watch the football via Sky Go on your computer.

If you do cancel Sky+ you would not be able to go back to it as you would need to upgrade to Sky Q.

Hello @sweetheart4321 I haven't seen you post for a while!

If you want to be able to continue to watch on Sky Go while the building work is ongoing, I don't think you have a choice but to continue your Sky  subscription.

As you rightly say, if you cancel, you won't be able to re-subscribe with Sky+. You would have to switch to either Sky Q or the new streaming platform.

As you're not 'in contract' you could give Sky a call to see if you can negotiate a discount in the usual way, regardless of the building worl?
