Using Sky box with subscription but no HD add -on.
Hi, I'm economising and have still got my Sky subscription but have cancelled the HD add-on. I just have the ordinary Sky HD box, not Sky Q. I'm assuming this means I won't be able to record or watch the HD channels and that if I want to do either it will have to be on the SD versions of each channel. Am I right?
Thanks.

You can record and watch the free HD channels from the likes of the BBC, ITV, CH4 and CH5 and a few others but all others you will only be able to view the SD channels.

@bestfriendsdogs In short, any channel that it will let you watch, you can record and watch back.
Note - It will let you record other HD channels, but you won't be able to watch them back.
