Can someone please advise. I can download catch up on sky channels but not on Really, Quest etc. I find this odd and would like an explanation please

My Sky+HD box packed up - the replay of a recording just stopped with the image frozen on the screen - couldn't get the menu up to do anything - 2 hours later having tried everything I could think of I bought another SKY+HD 500gb box. Arrived next day and I fitted it - worked perfectly until I tried to "download" a program - said it was downloading for 15 seconds then just disappeared - checked the Planner and program said "FAILED" press i and get technical Error 11(266)
NO ONE KNOWS what the issue is - whole afternoon trying to fix and couldn't.
BUT No One said anything about having to "PAIR" my card to the new box! I should have remembered doing this from years ago but didn't - just done that and ALL WORKING!
