Sky box was working other sky box is fine switched it off and back on it starts up but then no signa

New WiFi router installed 

sky box working fine then tried to install new wifi

it worked on main box and we still have sky but the other box will not work 

switched it and off

Taken card out but no response

whem switching it back on light goes green straightaway no red standby

help please

Sounds like the box has died. no Sky+ or earlier boxes have been made for at least 8 years, so some are getting to the end of their serviceable lives

Thanks for replying but when we switch it on it does start with the start up menu

A black screein showing Sky+HD in white sounds like ithe box is trying to perform a sorftware update, that can happen if the backup button on the top of box is stuck down, If I understand what you are saying correctly

You could try forcing a software update, see my FAQ, this will not do any harm

BTW, We can only provide help with the info provided, so the more info you provide the better we can guess what is wrong 🙂

non seemed sticky but next time it rebooted it worked
