Sky box turning off

Sky. Box keeps pausing or turning itself off completely. Freezes so remote won't work. Turned off at mains and changed batteries in remote, still got problem.

Sounds like the box is toast, time to change to a newer system

Please Note: Sky+ is now a legacy/obsolete service that Sky are replacing with their newer services: Sky Glass, and/or Sky Stream.

Satellite TV is on its last legs and is being replaced due to the lack of any new satellites being launched to replace the existing ones that are at the end of their service

Do you mean the power LED on the front panel goes off? Unfortunately it sounds like either a hard disk issue or a failure of the power supply circuitry. If it's a hard disk,issue ypu could try a full System, reset, as described in the help here: https://www.sky.com/help/sky-tv/sky-tv-plus/sky-plus-watching-sky-tv/sky-plus-recordings/articles/re...

If it doesn't help, I'm afraid I agree with @Annie+UK that the box has had it.
