Sky box not recording split programs

My recordings mainly of movies (suspect the so called news segments play a part) often never record the second (and most interesting) part of the movie. When I remember, I click on record for the second part when I'm planning on the record but surely, with the amount I and everyone else pays to @Sky they can figure out such a basic feature? I'm notlikely to renew my subscription when I only get to see half a movie. Anyone else have the same problem?

You can Series link the first part of the movie so that the second part gets recorded automatically

This is not a new thing it has been happening on certain channels for many many years, it is not a Sky issue you'll need to complain to the broascasters but I doubt they would change things
