Sky Max live OK but future recordings always fail

Hi,

I have a Sky+ box and current Sky subscription.  I can watch live priograms on Sky Max and Sky ShowcaseHD. without any problem. But if I try and record future programs on these channels they appear to record OK, but when I try and watch them I get a message "Find out how to upgrade your subscription to get this channel at skyviewinghelp.com".  But if I can watch them live surely my subscription is valid?

Confused

Tim

Re: Sky Max live OK but future recordings always fail

Hi,

Tried The New Install but it didnt make any difference.  But I've done more digging and found that I am watching the SD channel live and trying to record on the HD channel, which fails. When I try and watch the HD Sky Max I get the subscription error message. I think what's happened is that when I called customer services to renegotiate my package price, they've removed my HD access to various channels, without making it clear that's what they were doing.  Annoying - I'll get back in touch with them to resolve it.

Thanks for your help anyway.

Unfortunately that's not unknown when a customer is trying to reduce their subscription cost: the service rep presumably removed the HD add-on in order to quote you a lower price.
