Sky + HD box recording issue

Hi there,

 

Had an old Sky +HD box that I gifted to family friend. I had it since new from sky since 2015 and only used 6 months and then in storage.

 

Since they fitted the box they came back to me with an issue in thier words "wont record the program your recording when you are watching another channel, checked all cables and its connected ok"

 

Any idea what the issue could be and possible solution or could the box just be faulty ? Its strange as it did work perfectly before.

Hi @Doc5907 that does suggest it may not have a signal on one of the dish cables. What does the satellite signal strength show (Services > Settings > Signal).

 

The white part of all 4 bars should  be at least half way.
