Remote control isn’t working

Been away for a week, unplugged the tv and the remote isn't working at all

Does the LEDs on the remote and Sky Box flash?

I know it's an old thread, but it really amused me.  "My battery operated device doesn't work" 13 minutes later, "Oh, wait a minute, put new batteries in, it works" 🤣
