REMOTE HD WONT ACCEPT CODE

I HAVE SKY HD REMOTE CONTROL  AND A NEW SAMSUNG TV IT WONT ACCEPT THE CODE FOR SAMSUNG .

I HAVE TRIED OTHERS BUT NO JOY.  ANY ADVICE.

@paladin100 can you clarify what you mean by 'won't accept the code'?

i input the code for samsung tv 0600.but it dosnt' work all the buttons light up as they are supposed to do .

but it dosnt turn the tv off, or work any channels.

@paladin100 even without programming your remote with any code, it should still control your Sky box ok. If it doesn't - for example you can't use the channel up and down buttons to move through the channels, or can't enter the number of the channel you want to view, then the remote is faulty.

If the code you've entered doesn't control your TV volume, it sounds as though it's not the right code for your make/model TV.

thanks mark and all who replied .i have sorted it .i was checking it out on u-tube. the bloke said he had a samsung and 

his  number was  0840 i input that in my remote and it works great.
