Hello.
What is the approximate annual cosumption in KWH of a Sky+HD box, assuming that it is not turned off?

You can do the math.!

1. Fully on (Green LED)
2. Standby (Orange LED)

Which one are you enquiring about?

Leaving the box fully on for extended lengths of time is a bad idea as it will shorten the lifespan of the Hard Drive that would be spinning 24/7 and most likely be written to continuously 😞
Not sure what the yearly power consumption is, hopefully someone will have an answer for you

If you want to check: 35÷1000×24×365

Thank you Mark.
Assuming an electricity unit rate of 47.5 pence per kwh on the price cap (most people will be paying a lot more from the price cap increase in October when prices are expected to rise 65%), the current electricity cost of the sky + Box is £147.
If the price cap does increases are 65%, the annual cost of 310 kwh will be £243 (77,4 pence per unit × 310 kwh). Sobering.
