Not getting Disney plus on Sky plus box

Is it legal for Sky to continually advertise FREE Disney plus to sky customers yet refuse to add it to loyal customers with Sky plus boxes.  We have been with sky for decades yet are treated with utter contempt from sky.

How can they just say "You can't get it on your Sky plus box" tough.

They have no intention of fixing this issue yet continue to advertise Free Disney plus for SKy customers.

Appalling way to treat decades long loyal customers. We also only seem to get half the content of Paramount + as well.

Loyalty counts for absolutely nothing with Sky.

@thooper yes, you can be assured it's legal. Sky has their own internal legal/compliance department which checks such matters.

I haven't seen the advertisements you mention, but I expect the terms explain that customers with Sky+ equipment aren't eligible.

There is no issue to fix as Sky+ boxes are years old now and can not host apps like those that the likes of Disney+ uses a technology moves on so if you do not upgrade your box then you will be unable able to access this and other apps.

Because you literally cannot get Disney+ on a Sky+ box in the same way it won't run on a digital watch.

The Sky+ platform is a quarter-century old and never had the programming architecture or processor power to host apps: that was a major reason for Sky having moved production to Sky Q by 2016 (which is now being replaced itself by the Comcast Glass/Stream platform)
