No signal

I have a ' your box is initialising please return a short time to use this feature' I've followed on line guidance and tried to reboot about 3 times and the message is on screen for over an hour. It's a Sky+ box:  We have about 2 inches of snow but it can't be that surely!!!!

@Sheila54 if snow has settled on the arm of the dish,  that could well be the problem.

Spray water at the dish using a hose pipe to dislodge the snow

@Sheila54

We lost satellite signal on our Sky Q due to snow on the dish at about 7.35pm yesterday. Luckily it was back by 9.35. Hope yours is too.

Re: No signal

Thank you - I think the weather plus snow was the problem as it's up and running again now. Next door helped me with a long feather duster - lol.  At my age you only have the TV to keep you entertained so when it goes you are stuffed. I cant do the apps that well. But my daughter did get me Netflix which I'm now trying to work out how I get around it.

I'm not bad for my age but its still a bit confusing.  Thank you for your help all.
