My Sky HD box won't work.

My Sky HD box won't turn on, the symbol on is red but I can't get the green symbol..

I have new batteries in handset but the push button on box is not working.

Have you tried turning it off at the mains then back on again and giving it 5 minutes before seeing if it now responds to the remote ?
