Mini TV Unavailable No Satellite Signal message

Have started getting Mini TV Unavailable No Satellite Signal message since yesterday. Is there any outage in Whitton Greater London area? Have tried troubleshooting following online guidelines but it did not fix the issue. I do not see any obvious reason why it should not work. Any help will be much appreciated.

What are the Signal Strength/Qualities in the Sky Box setting?

See question Q11 in my Sky+ FAQ
Sky support for Sky+HD and earlier systems has ended, you can still get support if you already have Sky Protect insurance otherwise you'll have to find your own 3rd party company to get support from at your own expense

You'll need to have that looked at as you have a dish/cable/box issue

Have a look at the question posted by @Annie+UK in the posts above about your signal strengths and post back what they are.

Have a look at the replies to the original post, and let us know your signal strengths when you see the mini TV message.

Dish/Cable/Tuner issue, best call someone out to take a look if there is nothing obviously wrong with your setup

You can contact Sky using the number here (See the "Need more help?" dropdown near the bottom of the page)

Note: Make sure you have the correct country flag selected in the bottom-right of the page

Re: Mini TV Unavailable No Satellite Signal message

I am getting the same message, just since I turned my box off for an hour or two, to watch a film on my smart tv. I can watch any channel EXCEPT what I knew as terrestrial channels ie, BBC, ITV, 4 & 5?

Re: Mini TV Unavailable No Satellite Signal message

@Mark39
can I watch on input 1 rather than input 2? No idea what they mean. But I must be on input 2 because as the signal disappears, so does the picture and the no satellite signal comes back on?

You can if you put your Sky box in Single Feed Mode, but you'll lose the ability to be able to record more than programme at a time, or to record one while watching another live. The SFM setting is in the Installer Menu, which you access by keying Services,0,0,1,Select.

To get the signal on Input 2 sorted, it would be best to book an engineer who will investigate the cause.
