Message to upgrade from HD to Q

We have no access to subscription channels even though we've been paying for them. 

Sky say we have to upgrade to Q, but others on this forum say we don't have to and should be able to access the channels. 

Not sure what to do next except cancel subscription.

What is happening when you try to view one of these channels, what onscreen message do you see and what channels are you talking about here ?

No replacement box. 

We moved here 18 months ago and all was fine for around 11/12 months.  

When the problem  started, a sky engineer  came and put a new card in the box.
