I bought a new TV and it does not have a scart plug option. i have connected with a hdmi cable but
I have a blue screen issue but only when using the hdmi connection.
If I connect my old tv with a scart plug it works fine but the hdmi cable on my new tv and my old tv shows blue screen.
It did work initially but no more.
I have tried most if not all of the suggested solutions on this site. It did work once but then went back to blue screen very quickly.
Ideas anybody

Yes Sky +HD
It is resolved at the moment.
I hard rebooted 3 or 4 times (switch off, restart while holding down backup on the box until 4 lights come on) and it is now working. It is a HDMI problem as I connected my old TV with the scart plug and there were no problems. The hdmi cable did not work on my old TV either.
Sky must know that this is a problem surely

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIt's not a generic fault. From what you've told us, there's either a fault with the cable or with your Sky box's HDMI output.

It is interesting that a significant number of users are complaining on this site about the "blue screen of death" and that my system is now working without changing the lead or the box.
If one or two complain then you may be correct, when significant numbers of users complain there is a fundamental issue.
As I said for the moment it is working so keeping my fingers crossed for the future.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreYes, there are numerous blue screen post results from a simple search, but that's unsurprising as a blue screen is just indicative of the absence of a signal. There are myriad reasons why that might happen. Most of the posts relate to Sky Glass/Stream, or Sky Q which again is unsurprising as they're more complex platforms.. There are few blue screen reports relating to Sky+ which is simple by comparison - certainly not enough to suggest some sort of generic issue.

Do you work for Sky as you seem very keen to beat me down on the generic problem issue?
