Hoping for help….
Firstly I should point out I have. Sky+HD box and I would be pretty comfortable around the system, cabling, dish etc. I have been able to resolve a number of issues over the years on various boxes, however this one has me stumped and I am interested to hear if anyone has seen this before?
So my system is on my home and I have my own dish. Both my incoming Coaxial cables are sound and have been tested. When I connect them to the box and start it up on Channel 998 for instance, all works fine and I have two strong signals showing in Settings.
But if I change to Channel 104 or 108 and numerous others, I immediately get the "Your Sky+HD Box isn't getting a satellite signal" message. When I now check settings I find that Input 1 has completely dropped out and I only have a signal on Input 2. If I return to a channel that is working I again go back to Settinhs to find I again have 2 Strong Inputs....????
I have carried out a number of Resets, Restarts and a Rebuild.....to no avail.
I am perplexed and would be grateful for any ideas or assistance people may have to offer. Thanks in advance for your help!!

Re: Hoping for help….
"No Satellite Signal" usually indicates an issue with one or more of the following:
• The Tuners in the sky box
• The input sockets on the Sky box
• The plugs on the cables
• The cables themselves
• The Sockets on the dishes LNB
• The dishes LNB has gone faulty for the connections the box is using
You may have to call out sky or a 3rd party satellite/aerial company
Note: If you have a communal dish then this is maintained by your landlord/building management and NOT sky

Re: Hoping for help….
Hi Annie,
I appreciate your response but I fear I may not have adequately described the scenario....for a large number of channels I have 2 strong signals when I check in Settings. But there are certain channels that have the "No Sat Signal" message, and when I check, I find that for some reason the signal on Input 1 has just disappeared. I skip to the very next channel and I again have two strong inputs.
This likely discounts the possibility of Dish alignment, cables and Lnb's as these are unlikely to alter simply by changing channel.
I can record on a channel I know to be working for instance, while watching another. I believe this also would suggest that the inputs are working correctly. What I don't get is how I put 1 vanishes on certain channels?
Thank you for taking the time to reply.

Re: Hoping for help….
The channels are spread over a cluster of satellites so you can get a loss of signal on some channels and not others, you'll need to check the transponders the failing channel are coming from to see if there is a pattern
The LNB could be faulty as some frequencies could stop working but not all, a failing tuner could also cause this kind of issue
Best get someone out to take a look
