My elderly father has a Samsung HD television and an old sky digibox which connects to an old satellite dish. No sky subscription. All free channels working okay except channel 731 shows blue screen and says "Call xxx for further information on how to receive this HD channel". Have phoned that number and just supplies a weblink which gives no useful information. Very grateful for tips how to sort this?

MTA1 World?
That appears to be an HD-only channel, so would require a Sky+ HD or Sky Q box rather than an SD Sky 'digibox'. Unfortunately Sky Q has no non-subscription use, but there are Sky+ HD boxes on eBay from around £10 up.
It's perhaps worth noting that SD-only Sky hardware will increasingly become seriously obsolete from next year as the BBC starts to switch off its SD services.
