HBO max with Sky HD+ box

I know I can't get HBO Max as the app, but I have this as part of my subscription.

can I download the HBO Max app on my iPhone and use that to watch it via my Sky subscription?

if yes, how as HBO max app says my email address isn't registered

If you have Sky Plus then your subscription doesn't qualify for access to any* apps, you would need a supported service (Glass, Stream or Q)

*Edit: I should qualify that Sky GO and Sky sport are included with your sub if your sub covers the content within these apps

As a Sky+ box customer you do not get access to the HBO Max app on your iPad in the way that customers with other TV services would.

That's because it's signing into the app on Q, Glass and Stream hardware which creates the account link.
