Engineer appointment

I list my signal on my sky and had to book an appointment for an engineer to visit, but it wasn't available for 3 weeks , on 05/06 he came but couldn't gain access as my gate lock wouldn't open, so said I would have to get another appointment.

The engineer was from Scotland and informed me this area was so back logged a crew had been brought down from Scotland to clear it. And he was appalled because I had, to wait 3 weeks, especially as the man he had gone to before me had phoned and booked an appointment the DAY before. So I phoned Sky and have now been told the earliest appointment is 20/07.
that means almost 7 weeks without TV.
There is absolutely no help from Sky.

i retire tomorrow and the extra time was to enjoy series on Sky. This will now not be possible as I don't subscribe to catch up. They keep saying I will be compensated, but I just want my Tv programmes , I pay for.

HELP !

I'm surprised they offered support at all: Sky has ceased to do so for Sky+ and Sky+ HD hardware except where the address has Sky Protect insurance cover.

You can choose to pay a local independent installer if you wish.  Generally speaking, waiting times for Sky personnel may well be increasing as their numbers fall.

@Angrysue  As advised Sky+ isn't supported anymore therefore do you actually have Sky Q?

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.
