Hello,
We recently purchased JVC Android TV LT-43CA790 but the SKY website does not recognise this model so we have been unable to connect the SKY+ remote to it. We have gone through all of the blind suggestions given by the website and bought a new remote no avail.
Please can anyone help?

I can understand the frustration - I have 2no 19 inch TV's [Bush and Alba] and have tried linking each to a Sky+ HD remote, using v9 and v10 - dozens of codes but none work.. Both remotes link fine using code 999 [to reset to default]. Both switch off the TV's great [not Vol +/-, etc.,] BUT no other code will do so. I have finally given up and emailed the Complaints Dept for help - don't hold your breath!

It's largely the fault of your tv manufacturers for requiring new codes. They could just have easily used one of their existing codes and avoided the problem.
I'm sure Sky will apologise, but unfortunately there's no way for them to add new codes to the database inside a Sky+ remote. The only way to do so would be to manufacture an updated remote and Sky won't be doing that for Sky+, which is a product at the end of its life.
@dibby444 and. @doctorD3364 If you wish you can cycle through all the codes stored in your remote to see if there's one that works better. To do it:
1. Press Select and Red together for several seconds until the LED flashes twice.
2. Press TV then standby alternately (TV, then Standby, TV, then Standby etc) until your TV switches off. If/when it switches off, press Select to store that code.
3. Then see if it controls volume etc.

I have the same model tv as you, and the code that worked for me is 3460.
hope that helps!
