The Luckiest Girl Alive - 7th October

Netflix description: A writer's perfectly crafted New York City life starts to unravel when a true-crime documentary forces her to confront her harrowing high school history.

Mila Kunis stars in the lead role for this ominous thriller. She is the only actress on this list to have starred in a horror movie nominated for an Oscar, with Black Swan (2010).  Based on the novel of the same name, The Luckiest Girl Alive touches on themes of reinvention, assault and the aftermath of abuse. A tough read and watch, this film will resonate with men and women everywhere.

The Curse of Bridge Hollow - October 14th

Netflix description: A Halloween-hating dad reluctantly teams up with his teenage daughter when an evil spirit wreaks havoc by making their town's decorations come to life.

If you're looking for something that will suit any family, The Curse of Bridge Hollow starring Stranger Things' Priah Ferguson is perfect! Scary, but not too scary, this film has a modest TV-14 rating, meaning that youngsters and teens alike will enjoy the father-daughter duo's comedic quips and wholesome teamwork.

The School for Good and Evil - 19th October

Netflix description: Best friends Sophie and Agatha find their bond put to the test when they're whisked away to a magical school for future fairy-tale heroes and villains.

Based on the fantasy fairytale hexology of the same name, this adaptation will feature many of the book's best loved characters, plot points and developments. Fans of the series and newcomers alike will find something they love in this film. Already there is noise concerning a sequel for the upcoming release, so keep your eyes peeled!

Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities - 26th October

This upcoming anthology series features eight unique stories that span and challenge the horror genre. Del Toro (an Academy Award winning director) has confirmed that he will introduce each episode himself, so if you enjoy the vibe of bedtime stories, but love a sinister twist, this might just be the series for you.

The Good Nurse - 26th October

Netflix description: An overburdened ICU nurse (Jessica Chastain) leans on her selfless new colleague (Eddie Redmayne) at work and at home — until a patient's unexpected death casts him in a suspicious light.

Based on the novel 'The Good Nurse: A True Story of Medicine, Madness, and Murder', this movie follows the true-crime story of Charlie Cullen - otherwise known as 'The Angel of Death'. Understood to be one of the most prolific serial killers in American history, it's speculated that he killed up to 400 patients in his career as a nurse. Truly chilling.
