World Cup football

The picture is poor quality and intermittently freezes for several seconds, not as clear picture on free view tv but no freezing.

World Cup Games ITV / STV - Playlist

I consistently find football to be a nightmare on ITV or STV when relying on whatching later on playlist. The games just seem to be left out on purpose from their streaming apps. BBC can be a little problematic but generally unless they chose to blank it out you can catch up.

Has anyone had any better luck on ITV on catching up on football or can we expect frustration for those games that or on ITV?

According to ITV Sport's press release about their World Cup coverage:

ITVX will provide full video on demand of all ITV matches, highlights of all matches across ITV and BBC, and a rail of constantly-updating short-form content including camp reports, big moments and interviews.

So all the matches shown should be available on demand. If they don't show up on the playlist just search for them in the ITVX app. They're bound to be easy to find in there.

Thanks. Although a rail of content looks like spoilers might be as big an issue as having a full replay available!

Yeah, it almost certainly will. The problem is it will be almost impossible for them to cater for both those users who want not to be spoiled for the results and want to watch the full on-demand replay, and those that are happy to just catch up on some games with short highlights and clips.

I suspect this will be a big issue on the homepages of ITV X and iPlayer over the World Cup, as you would naturally expect their WC-related rails to be showcasing all World Cup-related content.

Re: World Cup football

@Martinp57 if these were the pre tournament friendlies, itv were having issues with the feed they were being supplied with. The issue were most likely not Sky Stream related but an issue with the actual feed itv were using.

I'm watching now on the "Real Time" option and it's been rock solid for nearly 2 hours..

Re: World Cup football

Have the exact same issues only had Sky installation done in last 2 wks... Paying for Ultrafast Broadband Max yet speed and picture quality is so frustrating to watch. This started exactly at midnight on the Brazil match... Bring a problem since
