Using Sky Stream with Mobile Broadband
Hi,
I'm currently using my Sky Stream at my address with my EE mobile broadband WiFi which runs off 5g. Absolutely no problems whatsoever even in uhd. I'm just wondering that if the Puck is linked to wifi- if I take the mobile WiFi with me to my friends house that it won't register as being at another house. As long as I can get a good mobile broadband signal wherever I am using it.
Does this make sense and sound feasible?

Re: Using Sky Stream with Mobile Broadband
@Caz47 Thats not how it works, you'd still be breaking the T&C's by taking your puck to another address. Therefore we can't recommend doing such a thing.
It is meant to be used at the registered adddress only, to view channels at another location you can use Sky Go.
43" Glass TV & Puck Whole Home
Please note I only provide help on the main forums and not via PM, PM's are switched off.
Samsung 75" 4K TV, Sky Glass Gen 2 55", Sky Stream, EE FTTC Broadband, Three 5G Broadband (Backup), Sony 7.1 AV Receiver, Technisat MultiSat receiver.

Re: Using Sky Stream with Mobile Broadband
Firstly as mentioned above that would be against your Sky T&Cs, using it at another address that is not your home address.
Secondly, the Sky Stream box does a number of location and ip checks that will determine if the Sky Stream device is being used in a new unauthorised location. It will a combination of these to flag a fail.
For example, as well as a broadband connection, wan ip swapping, along with any other activated Sky devices (another puck or SkyGlass TV, if you have them) used at your home being in a different network and the use of device gps location to show the device is being used in another location.
Sky Stream with two pucks (Former Sky Q and Sky+ customer), Sky Ultrafast + using Sky SR203 hub. Sky Protect kit tester.
