Unable to watch programs

Had Sky delivered today, installed it easily however I've spent the past 4 hours trying to find out why I can't watch any programmes on any platform without it freezing & cutting out? Currently watching I'm a celebrity via free view  so I can actually watch the whole program. Very disappointed. Anyone have any advice pls?

Do you have Sky Q? Or Sky Stream?

It's likely your broadband connection. 
Sky Stream relies entirely on you providing the puck with a fast and stable connection, otherwise it simply won't work. 
What speed is your broadband? What speed is the puck receiving? To find out, open the Netflix app, navigate to the get help menu (top left) by clicking on your profile and run a network check. You need a minimum of 25Mbps for HD streaming but ideally a lot more if you have a busy household using bandwidth.

Ok thank you. Fibre isn't being installed until next month so I will just have to wait until then I suppose and see if that works better then. Netflix seems to be running ok at the moment but the other channels I was trying to watch like itvx 5 4 etc just weren't able to do so
