Unable to link paramount+ premium via sky stream box

Hey. 

When I'm following the process to link my sky account using  my sky email address to my paramount account (also the same email anyway), I am simply getting an 'Uh oh' error (copied below). 

I have been trying for two days now. 

In the last two days I have:

- reset (odd, wait a while, on again) the home ONT and the router

- reset the sky stream box (off on)

- been through the settings and done the app update/refresh thing. 

I am on the upgrade to Premium service too if that makes any difference. 

So - any suggestions for how to make this work? 

the user experience goes like this

1. Open paramount+ on the stream box (which is connected to the tv obvs)

2. I'm asked to activate paramount + and that my paramount account will be linked to my email address (this is weird because I have a paramount account but maybe that doesn't matter). All of this includes a dialog that says welcome baxk. Reactivate your paramount+ account through Sky 
3. Then it fails. 

what I can't remember in the last week while

is when I last used the stream box for paramount vs using my laptop. And now I've reset the password it appears I can't do anything anywhere as iOS devices now just ask me to register a new subscription.

Im having exactly the same issue, i spoke to sky who said my email had become unlinked they have now told me it could take 24-48 hours to fix......

Seems insane

I had a guy from the sky marketplace team on the phone today and he tried as many things as he could think of. 
There is also now a formal 'problem ticket' in place - that was done during the day today, which he told me about when he kindly called me back later with an update. Guy I spoke to was great. Now it needs some back office folks and whoever looks after the paramount integration to talk to each other. 
I know in my case they've already tried resetting all my packages - and it is something to do with having had Premium and basic at different times and something happening last week. 

Anyway , fingers crossed. Hope you get an update soon too. 
I'll be retrying in the morning in case Sky still do overnight batch runs to process info. In my last IT experience 'intra day' updates, whether they should work or bit, sometimes

dont.

Today's update: nothing changed overnight 

 

Retried activating via the tv/Stresm box and still get the uh oh error

 

retried the link to activate via iOS where you login to sky and then in theory it activates and still the name error (which says my accounts are already linked). 

same email address (I only have one) for both paramount and sky. 

Bit of a stunner that this isn't easily resolvable by someone deleting and recreating an account or similar.

Yea still no change on our end unfortunately, it might seem a minor inconvenience to Sky, but when you are paying for an additional ammount and cannot seem to get anyone to aknowledge there is a problem it is quite annoying.

 

Im not sure where we go from here.

For what it's worth 

 

I've asked Paramount to formally (which means a data delete request) delete my account and data. 

I suspect that might take a few days, but rather than wait for Sky and Paramount to do something, I'm taking it in myself. 

my hope is that once my paramount account doesn't  exist, I can then create the link again.

Have you reactivated Paramount + on your Sky Glass, you need to do this when switching from Sky Q: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/how-to-get-paramount-plus

Yeah gone into activation says glad your back activate account , vlivk on this then ot says uh oh an error has occured but were working on fixing it and it never recovers

There are a few of us on the Q board with the same problem, I have had it since Sunday at least and I dont know if it is related but when I tried to downgrade my subscription I found missed payments on my account. these arent obvious and we missed it hadn't been paid in the bank account as only £3,  you have to look in the Marketplace payment section for payment history. It's not on the normal bill, that says fully paid so maybe worth checking, though this maybe nothing to do with that.

thanks for that Q reference of a similar issue.

 

This may be similar to thie Sky Q problem.

 

I regularly use Paramount+, at least four to five days a week, using the Sky Cinema free with ads offer on my Sky Dtream boxes.

 

End of last week, the Paramount+ app on my Sky Stream pucks, refused to log me into the P+ app.

Just got the 'Uh Oh' message and also once a T&Cs type screen once that I could not acknowledge with the option accept button,  it then on next attempts just bought up again the  'Uh Oh' messaged also.

 

A settings restart on the puck made no difference.

So I then did an apps refresh and broadband router/hub restart late evening and left it overnight before before trying.

The next morning, the app refresh and/or router/hub restart had done something, as it logged in fine with no issues and has been fine since.

 

Not sure if it's the same issue, but the timeframe around the issue  is similar.

I'm in, I had downgraded to the free one because of the missed payments, it not working and not wanting to build more debt as seems no way to pay £12 I owe.  This morning I got a text from Sky to activate my account which was the new free with ads one, which I did on my iPad, I just signed in from the link and it sent me to download the Paramount app.  I ignored that and went to the Sky TV app and it just worked.

 

I was thinking about switching of my router when this text appeared from Sky to activate my account but did the activation through a web page I was sent to and not the TV.  Hopefully it will start working for others now, this was the free one that worked.

Hi, I am having the same issue. I phoned them on Tuesday afternoon and they said this was a known issue that they are working on. No ETA for solution. I was advised to just keep trying the link from tome-to-time. Not great.

I got an email today saying my subscription had been successful, but it still doesn't work.
