Unable to install new sky stream

I'm unable to install new sky stream. Have tried restarting puck several times , get a message that says software needs to restart, have done this twice but keeps going back to the same message

Hi @capistrano

Try with a network cable plugged in, instead of WiFi. If still no joy try all the steps outlined here: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/setting-up-sky-glass-updating-software

Re: Unable to install new sky stream

I received 2 pucks last week on signing up for sky stream.

It took a couple of attempts to get the 1st one connected to my lounge tv which is working great. Love the interface.

However I couldnt get the 2nd set up in the kitchen.

I tried the steps on MySky help and within the Sky Community and still couldn't make progress. Then I twigged it. The guidance is to connect the puck direct to the router by ethernet. Then the instructions are failing as it still wouldnt work when reconnected to the kitchen TV.

I took the kitchen TV off the wall, moved it near my router which can only work in one place in the hall, connected it by ethernet as recommended, got it set up in under a minute and whilst still connected by ethernet (crucial) went into Settings and switched network to my wifi.

Hallelujah. Disconnected from ethernet, put it back on kitchen wall and all now sorted.
