FINALLY... To solve the problem, afterscratching my head, for several days, is as follows.
Go to home page, on yourSkyStreamdevice (Puk Device), then scroll all the way down to the bottom, select [Settings]. Then scroll down to the bottom again & select [System Managamen]. When on [System Management], press right on your round directional thingy and you should find, another two options [System Info] & [Resets & Updates].
Select [Resets & Updates] and follow the instructions. Simples😉. It'll help BIG TIME, so you're not digging for the original subscription intel, etc, pincodes, etc, cos' as you log back in, after the sys reboot, it'll ask you to dial the 6 digit code that you'll see on the TV screen. That's cos' once typed in, sky will personally ask your phone itself, for the authenticity of the account, in return, the phone (,your mobile phone), will grant that access without faffing about with passwords, pincodes, etc, so you'll be straight in. Carry on following the instructions, for things like, connect the Bluetooth ability from within your handset, to the puk device, plus your Sky account settings.
Personally, to set up subtitles, I'd go again all the way down to the bottom of the Sky home screen on the puk device, select [Settings], then select [Accessibility], then select right with your round directional doodaa, then third one down [Subtitles], just go there, press the centre button on the round directional doodaa, then back out stage by stage, back to the home screen. All done, jobs a gooden.👍👍👍

Resetting the Glass / Puck device has been the accepted solution for a little while, and seems to be the solution in most cases. Strictly speaking it shouldn't be necessary and the accessibility features should just work.
Glad you are up and running.
