Sonos Beam stopped working with Sky Stream

We run our Sky Stream puck through an LG tv and sonos beam set up.  Until last night, our sound came through the sonos beam without any issues.  When we turned on the tv last night, there was no sound.  We checked the tv sound was set to HDMI Arc.  We've tried unplugging the tv, the sonos and the puck for a couple of minutes, then turning on again but still no sound through the sonos.  We've had to change the tv to play through the internal speakers to get any sound, which isn't ideal.  We can stream music through the sonos so we known that's working.  Does anyone have any other ideas we can try?

I have literally just had the same issue with the same situation. Sonos beam - in the middle of watching tv show.. all of a sudden - no sound. If I use apps built into the tv - no issue. If I play music - no issue. Only issue is with sky stream. 

Sonos app recognises that sound should be playing when using sky stream but no sound coming out.

I've been getting a distorted Dalek sound often with skystream and Sonos beam (both wired to Ethernet), for the last few months since I signed up. incredibly annoying happens 50/50 when changing channel. No total sound loss yet though.

Used to get this  sound   quite often when we had sky Q never knew if it was my TV the  sonos sbeam or the Sky Q box

 

a quick pause then back to play usualy resolved the issue 

Have had the sky stream a few weeks now  and not had  the same issue

Have had this issue a few times and seems my problem was the TV  somehow resetting to the TV speaker 

 have had to go into TV settings and change from tv speaker to receiver settings (Using a samsung tv  may be different on a different make

Tv before the samsung  was external speaker) 

only had this issue wiith the sky stream  and usualy seems to happen if I have had to mess about with the puck or do a reset for some reason 

 

I now know to check TV setting first   rather then mess about with the sonos system or the puck first

I recommend switching to Now TV, app is night and day vs sky go (simple and reliable), comparable cost and actually cheaper to get the decent regular channels vs sky (essentials rubbish). No sound issues, no horrible sky interface, far less adverts on sports on demand content. No forced adverts everytime you start watching something new. I cancelled sky with immediate effect as I had constant tech issues, started NOW TV same day and it is perfect in comparison. The app is 1000x better than sky go.
