Sly stream remote no longer controlling tv

When I turned on my Sky Stream this morning, I could no longer control the sound through the tv. I re-paired the remote and then went through the steps to get it to control my TV volume/mute/power and initially managed to get the sound control back but then it would not turn the tv on and off.   I went through the process again and it has completely failed and said my TV was not supported.  For the past year I have always been able to control the TV using my Sky Stream remote.

I have rebooted the box a few times and changed the batteries on the remote.  I have been through the steps of pressing 7&9, 4&6 and 1&3 a few times and have been through all of the attempts for the box to find the right setting. I have also tried manually inputting the TV model (Toshiba 43UL5A63DB) and although it is listed the remote fails to operate the volume and then I'm told the tv is unsupported. Is there something else I should be trying? 

Just something else to make me wonder why i ever switched from Virgin...
