Sky stream

What would be the cost to have sports via Sky Stream? And can I just have sports? I'm not interested in other channels.

@JohnC78  You need the base TV pack before you can add opremium packs such as sports or movies.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

As mentioned above, you will need a base pack.

But, if Sky Sports is more your thing than the channels.

Sky do offer a base package called Sky Essential TV. That is around £15 a month.

You can then add a Sky Sports pack on top of that for currently around £20 a month.

Both would be on a 24 month contract.

Or you could add SkySports on a rolling monthly contract around £27 a month (with the same base pack as above).

Re: Sky stream

Okay thanks. So it'll cost me £35 a month, is that right? £15 for the base package (which I don't want) and then £20 for the sports?

I remember when I had sky back in the days of dish, box with card and back then (2006) one had to have a package one didn't want to then have sports. It's nuts how you can't have just the sports. It guess it's how they make their money though.

It doesn't at all surprise me that people resort to illegal streaming when the likes of sky charge so much when they don't have to.

Thank you for your reply.

If you just want Sky Sports then you can easily sign up to it via NOW TV without having to add any other channel packages. You can sign up for 6 months to get a better deal and get the same UHD/HDR/Atmos quality that you can get on Sky Stream by adding the Ultra Boost option.

If your TV doesn't have the NOW app built in then it can be downloaded for free from many app stores or onto a Firestick, Roku, Android TV or Apple TV box.
