Sky stream/ broadband

Hello, I've recently started an account with sky for stream and broadband. I was originally getting broadband sorted via open reach on 10th Oct. Open reach changed this to 6th Nov. I currently have no broadband at all at home so I'm hiring a internet box until sky broadband is connected. Will I be able to activate my sky stream and use it even though I won't have sky broadband but broadband via another device. I know it may sound stupid but I am just checking

Yes you can activate and use streak off any internet connection .... although hotspot from a phone can be problematic

Hi @Spacey_macey

Sky Glass and Stream work with any broadband supplier and your not required to have Sky Broadband, however you need a stable Internet connection of 25Mbps for HD and 30Mbps for UHD for it to work.

With 5G mobile broadband it can be variable depending on signal, provider, location, contention etc but best thing is to give it a try.

When you get your proper broadband installed you will need to reset your network connection and join your puck to your new router.
