Sky puck not working properly

I jave called sky to be told that I may need new puck and will have to pay £50 for one that's disgusting I pay for the service of the equipment is faulty why have I got to pay for new puck

Sky Stream pucks ordered after 23 February 2023 are loaned to you. If you purchased a puck before this date then it is owned by you and would be covered by the warranty period.

 

If you tell us what the issue is, we may be able to help.

The tv keeps freezing and fast forwarding freezes we have managed to get it working again via turning all off waiting then turning on again but then issues keep happening within few days this was originally got in Nov 22. It software is up to date it's connected via ethernet cable and the WiFi is off.
