Hi, when I first switch on my sky puck it doesn't connect to WiFi. I switch it straight off and on again and it's fine. Yes I'm close to the WiFi and all WiFi is fine. The sky puck never drops out etc it's just when I first turn it on. I've changed some othe power management settings but made no difference.
Hoping someone can help?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Ian1979 I had exactly the same issue with my Glass TV when I first got it 18 months ago. I resolved the issue by turning ON the Networked Standby Mode. I would also turn off the Overnight power saving.
Good luck 🤞

Think I tried that but I've just set as you recommended and I'll see. But there the only settings I can see would help.

Thanks for the reply. I'll give Sky a shout tomorrow and see if they'll send me a new Puck out. This one's less than a month old.
I'm wondering if there's been a software update and there's a glitch somewhere.

After a little experimenting if you press the Home button it connects straight away. Still not right but less annoying.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@GHeslop I'm glad you have found a quick workaround but I wonder why my suggestion in post 3 above didn't resolve the issue as it did for me. Before I made the change to my settings it didn't pick up the network when first used each day.
Just to confirm you are leaving the puck on and simply allowing it to go into standby overnight? If so and if you have Networked Standby Mode turned on I'm at a loss as to why it doesn't activate as soon as you turn your TV on.

I've disabled all the power saving features do it should be permanently connected to the internet but no, every time it's powered up it's not happy.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@GHeslop The Networked Standby mode should be enabled (not disabled). Just check that it is turned on. If it's already on then you will just have to use your home button method 😀
Good luck 🤞

Just thought I'd try something and it seems to have worked. I've a Samsung TV that sometimes looses it's audio output. A long press on the remote control power button resets the system and the audio returns. Just tried this with the Puck remote and it looks like it's working normally again. I'll try it again in the morning and report back.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@GHeslop Thats great news. I also have a Samsung TV & Soundbar and use the long power button press to turn everything off. The puck then goes into standby shortly afterwards.

Try holding it for 30 seconds
