Were are experiencing some programs available on the Sky Puck keep stopping or start juddering
The Sky Router WIFI is disabled and 2 AP's are in place to provide WIFI upstairs and downstairs on good selected channels these AP are wired to the Router directly and don't use the WIFI
The PC works via a 1 gig LAN connection to the router and is working fine
Laptop and Tablets are working fine on the 5 g WIFI Network, we can watch BBC, ITV, Netflix and other programs with out any issues and use the Internet OK
Using the SKY Puck boxes we have had a number of problems with controllers failing or the Pucks just stop working. I have reset these devices on a number of occasions.
Now here is the Issue BBC, ITV and some other programs that come via the Sky Puck have a problem where they stop streaming, however
when watching Netfix using the Sky Puck it works without any problems ??? So all in all I feel there is a problem with the pucks set up or the Servers - Switches that support this have an issue.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreWhen you say reset, are you talking about a power reboot, rather than a complete puck reset (which we would only encourage to do when Sky have asked you to do that).
Would suggest instead trying a restart of your Sky Stream box via the restart settings option.
Go to Settings>Systems Management>Resets & Updates
Select Restart device
Your Sky Stream puck will perform a reboot. It will take a few minutes to complete
Might be worth running some wifi speed tests on the puck.
You can do a this by using the Netflix network speed test on each of your Pucks;
Launch Netflix on your pucks (you do not need to be logged into it, if you do not use netflix) and scroll down the left menu to Get help.
Choose Check Network.
Would suggest running the test a few times, say over a half hour or so period between tests.
What is your speed?
As you maybe aware, Sky recommended minimum broadband speed of 25Mbps to be available.
Or 30Mbps if you add an extra Sky Stream puck or to watch in UHD.
Live sync will also use a few Mbps per puck.
Having a good local broadband network is key to Sky Stream.
Other areas to consider.
Your pucks may be suffering from interference,, the puck much like a Sky Q box can for some customers suffer from this at times. More often seen as an intermittent blip.
Not always a cure, but the following may help to resolve;
Make sure you have a good 6-8 inches free on all sides of the puck.
Do not stack the puck on top of any other device.
Best not to sit it on a glass shelf. Wood is generally the best.
Make sure the puck is in the open, not tucked away in a cabinet or sat directly behind the TV.
Make sure you have no other devices that can cause interference closeby, like cordless phones, radiators, baby monitors, microwaves and the like.
Assume you are using the Sky supplied hdmi cable or a high speed equivalent one.
Plus, change both your pucks to following recommended settings set in Settings>
Turn wifi OFF under Network if your puck/s are connected via ethernet.
Set Network standby mode to ON and Overnight power saving is OFF.

This is not a WIFI issue the SkyPuck is LAN wired to the Network using CAT 6 it is not using the WIFI at all. as I explained Netflix works fine via the Sky Puck but other programs like BBC and ITV stop working or stutter. Rebooting power on and off does not cure the issue, other LAN and WIFI connected devices are working fine.

So ... the AP is Ethernet connected to the router and the Puck is Ethernet connected to the AP?
Which AP models are you using?

There is an Issue with LAN ports on PC's Servers and othe devices that you can get that isn't easy to see, when the LAN port auto negotiates the speed, some get it wrong, some get it really wrong, so on a 1 Gig port it could auto negotiate to 1 Gig, 100 Meg or to 10 Meg. or even 10 meg half duplex when it gets it really wrong one end gould be 1 Gig the other 100 meg or any of the availlable combinations, when this happens performance is either poorer, poor or totally rubbish. I downloaded Netmanager and pinged all the switches and other devices and found a couple of the ports were giving errors in one case it was the port with the puck connected. Other reasons can be using older cables like Cat 3, 4 even Cat 5. all my installation is in Cat 6. I have ordered an additional 5 port managed switch so the puck is connected to that 'Ill let you know if this cures the problem

So here is a different issue
I have 4 pucks, 3 connect to the LAN OK via switches, the W.I.F.I is turned off on these pucks
The 4th puck will not connect to the LAN at all, either Direct or via a Switch. It can be connected using th 5G W.I.F.I network
I would say it's faulty I'll chat to Sky on Monday
