Sky Stream when I am a Sky Q Customer

I am currently a sky Q customer , I have 3 Sky Q mini boxes in various rooms but in one I cannot hide the box easily - The simple solution seems to be get a Sky Stream Puck, however that doesn't seem available to me online as an existing Sky Q customer - is there a reason that I cannot use my full package (Cinema, Netflix, Sports etc) across both platforms ?

Because they are two platforms. You can't mixed the streaming platform with the satellite based platform as there are differences between the two. Not only are the way the platforms operate and mare delivered diffferent the list of available channels and TV packs offered on the services differ as well.

Sky allow you to have the satellite platform or the streaming platform at an address they can't be mixed, any order for Sky stream will lead to Sky having to cancel Sky Q at that address.

Sky Stream, Sky Glass Air and Sky Broadband customer

Re: Sky Stream when I am a Sky Q Customer

Thank you - that is what I suspected but I had assumed that Sky Glass too was a different platform to Sky Q - Apparently that is a possible combination.

Is Sky Glass not simply a TV with and embedded Sky Stream OS ?

Thanks

Yes, Sky Glass is a TV with the same SkyOS that runs on a Stream puck, but again, it's a different subscription model to Sky Q.

You cannot mix a Sky Q and a Sky Stream/Glass subscription - it's one or the other.

You can buy a second hand Sky Glass TV and connect an existing Sky Q box to it via HDMI, but if you buy a new Sky Glass TV from Sky you have to start a streaming TV subscription with them which will automatically cancel any existing Sky Q  subscription.

Re: Sky Stream when I am a Sky Q Customer

I believe at some point in the order journey it should tell you it would cancel your Sky Q subscription ( however its possible if it does do this it won't until you checkout the order).

Its always best for existing sateliiete subscribers to phone call to arrange the switch to Glass/Stream ( indeed for Stream you have to call Sky to do this).
