We've had Sky Stream for just over a month now and one of the things that keeps bugging me is that a lot of advertised show content is not very kid friendly. Unless I’ve missed some really obvious option to fix this.
The biggest example I can give for this is my partner and me watching Squid Game 2 in the evening, then the next morning my young daughter comes down to watch various kids shows - which had been selected from the Recently Played list. When her show had finished it jumps her back to the Recently Played list, which of course has Squid Game as the next suggested show to watch - not that she could play it without the PIN. But the advertised full screen for the show is the red light/green light scene with loads of bodies scattered on the floor and blood everywhere! Not something I want my six year old seeing!
I've also seen moments where she's tried to use the audio search and it's not quite heard her and instead of loading up the show she was expecting, she's presented with some creepy ghost nun thing with creepy eyes, as the suggested show.
I can see two ways to fix this, Sky Stream having an option for Netflix style profiles, so the kids have no sight/access 12/18+ content. Second idea would be to allow daytime-friendly content, so the shows are still advertised but the tiles/full screen are kid-friendly.
Do Sky have a feedback/suggestions email?
