Committed to trying the streaming route after 6 years of Q.
So far, disappointed with the NOW TV (with Ultra Boost) Sky Sports UHD stream which is stuttery every few seconds and find the ball fuzziness very distracting. Brand new Roku 4k streaming stick, LG OLED TV and Sky FTTP 150mbps broadband.
Is the Sky Stream UHD for Sky Sports channels likely to be better or is that just the level of streaming? Thanks

I don't know what UHD is like on Nowtv but the quality on Sky Stream is excellent is you have speedy broadband

I used Now TV UHD for a bit but found it a bit stuttery at times and it had a strange camouflage watermark on live F1 streams. In my experience Sky UHD is quite a bit better and on par or better than Sky Q's.
But it requires a lot of data so a really good connection is needed.

Thanks both,
The NOW UHD picture quality itself is good for sports, certainly not a noticeable dropoff from UHD on Sky Q.
But the motion just isn't right with the ball and players.
Seems like my next move is to try Stream and just stomach paying over the odds for the flexibility of a monthly contract.
Thanks again for your advice.

Nowtv UHD bolt on will output at 50fps but only on compatible devices. If you're getting stuttering, it might be that the Nowtv app isn't compatible with 50fps on the device you are using.

It'll be down to the Roku streaming device outputting at 60Hz and not switching to 50Hz. Frame rate matching only works for a few apps on Roku devices and I don't think NOW is one of them, but check your settings here:

I don't know if there's a way to force output to 50Hz or not.
