Sky Stream Playlists vs Sky Q Recordings
Hello,
We are looking to potentially move from Sky Q to Sky Stream (no need for the Glass TV).
One thing holding us back is that Q allows recordings of programmes immediately when broadcast to play back at our leisure, including from a short while after the live broadcast has started; whereas our understanding of Stream is that instead of live recordings, the on-demand/catch-up service is a playlist that becomes available...when, we are unsure.
In addition, we are aware that some independent channels such as international ones may or may not have this playlist function available on Stream; whereas at least on Q, we can record ANY channel.
Tried to ask Sky directly, but their agents won't commit to any answer,
Can someone please let us know your experience with:
1) When playlists become available after a broadcast
2) Which international channels have the playlist feature for their programmes?
Thanks

Re: Sky Stream Playlists vs Sky Q Recordings
If it helps, I made a post earlier today with most of what you ask, link below.
Saves me writing out all again.
I cannot from my experience say if all International channels cloud record, but the mix of ones I use do.
Happy to cloud record test a few programmes from the International channels if you care to mention them.

They mean nothing in relation to SKy Glass/Stream TV Guide as it differs slightly with Sky Q.
Can you name the channels as the ones you want may not necessarily be on SOIP
43" Glass TV & Puck Whole Home
Please note I only provide help on the main forums and not via PM, PM's are switched off.

Ok, that is the channel number on Sky Q, I've managed to work out what they are.
On Sky Stream/Glass they are on channels 701, 702, 708, 709
Star Bhurat
Star plus
Colours HD
Colours Rishtey.
I regularly record on three of those channels, Star Bharat, Colours Rishtey and Star Plus.
As shown for two in my pics above.
And have in the past for the other one, Colours. But I will set a recording for a programme on it this morning.

Re: Sky Stream Playlists vs Sky Q Recordings
Colours Rishtey and Colours HD both record fine and often share stuff with each other.
Recorded few episodes from series on both those channels this morning.
Hope that all helps.
Happy to try any of the other channels.

Re: Sky Stream Playlists vs Sky Q Recordings
Sorry, yes, those are the channels in question.
Does it differ programme to programme though?
Or is it quite uniform for a particular channel?
