Re: Sky Stream - Hyperoptic Broadband issues

I am now using my TV apps until i get Freesat installed. They work all the time without issue. To all those that have attempted to help over the past few weeks, I thank you. I will be getting rid of this and closing my SKY account at the earliest opportunity. There's no point wasting any more time on this. Regards and take care. x

Re: Sky Stream - Hyperoptic Broadband issues

Hi again.

All seemed to be working fine from about 16:00 this afternoon,  but the problem has suddenly recurred.  Virtually all channels displaying the error message, with the exception of BBC2 and STV which are working fine.

I've rebooted the puck but this didn't help.

Re: Sky Stream - Hyperoptic Broadband issues

I've had this issue "on and off" for several months and somewhat glad it's finally been acknowledged as a problem.

Unfortunately,  it looks like my puck bricked during the recovery/reset process when I was trying to fix it (before I came across this thread), as no matter what I do it won't move off the logo screen.

Sky has been ridiculous and said I needed to pay £50 for a replacement as it's "out of warranty", but I'm currently following their complaint process.

In any case, I hope it gets resolved for everyone soon!

Hurray.....however most of my channels (incl. STV, Sky Sports News, Sky News, Sky Sports PL) had technical problems from 7pm.  Some have started working again (7.50pm) but not all. Sky Sport PL and News still not working. It's been fine all day, however find it's always about this time of the evening it starts acting up.

UPDATE - mine is working again now (as at 20:00) but obviously the fix isnt total as the issue is still occuring.

Is that because the Puck is your property and not loaned?

The Puck would work if you changed ISP ... have Hyperoptic offered you any compensation?

I'm sure the sky team are keeping an eye on this thread for feedback. Hopefully they will update further over the next few days .....

Re: Sky Stream - Hyperoptic Broadband issues

Seems odd that some can access the stream and some can't?

Re: Sky Stream - Hyperoptic Broadband issues

Can't wait for this to be fixed. By the looks of the numbers on this thread, if we are all actually reporting it, it should be applying some pressure

Re: Sky Stream - Hyperoptic Broadband issues

@mrwwt To be fair to Sky, they have done, as they had calls with HO from Friday last week and the weekend.  It has been very frustrating for us as customers I agree, but the main thing is that both organisations have admitted there has been a fault. It should really have been sorted long ago but the main thing is now it's being monitored
