Sky Stream DD+ audio drop outs - an ongoing diary.
Thought it would be fun to keep an ongoing diary of the incredibly frustrating audio drop outs so many of us are experiencing with Sky Stream audio set to passthrough. Let's see how many posts we rack up. I'll start, and will add to this thread each day I am effected. I encourage everyone to do the same.

@POckelford Given no one else seems to be posting about any sound drop outs the issue must be either be your amp or your puck.
It's highly unlikely to be content itself as Sky Quality check all the OD content both sound and vision.
Might I suggest using either Auto or pass through as audio settings and if the issue continues then speak to Sky.
Posting here Sky won't know of your issues.

I too also have sound drops, changing a myriad of settings, logging them to troubleshoot; the problem still persists (similar to when I was using Sky Q), with the exception of using the Sky Stream, no patten that I could see.
Unless it's Sky content, I use either the TV's built in app or the Apple TV device. For any films or serious watching (non Sky) we use the home cinema rather than the TV in the lounge.

Same here, It's been going on for such a long time now that I think people have stopped complaining about it.

Netflix: Monsters S1E8 - 3x 1 second audio drop outs (Dolby Atmos DD+ into Denon x4700h)
I've read hundreds of posts across the web about this problem. No other input into my amp causes this issue - only Sky Stream. Many people have said they are on second and third pucks that keep having the same issue.

Re: Sky Stream DD+ audio drop outs - an ongoing diary.
If you're using DD+ as the audio output from the puck and Pass-Through from the TV to your audio system, this would suggest an issue elsewhere rather than with the puck because Netflix doesn't support Atmos via DD+
. The Netflix app only supports Atmos via full Pass- Through. F*** knows why because they use sooo much compression it's unreal..
All the previous issues with audio drop outs were with using Pass-Through from the puck.
Check your HDMI cable from the TV to your audio device is at least HDMI 2.0...

Re: Sky Stream DD+ audio drop outs - an ongoing diary.
Setup is puck to amp direct with several brand new 2.1 hdmi cables tried. The TV gets nowhere near the sound as there is nothing between the puck simply passing the audio directly from the app to the amp's decoder. And the puck needs to be in passthrough because I don't want the puck doing anything to the audio when I have a far more capable amp to handle it. The audio drop out is created by the puck not being able to pass the audio to the amp properly.
